hi , if you have no luck on here with the info on a t3 conversion, try www.fiestaturbo.com . it's quite simple from what i hear though. injectors, you should really look at getting beiges if you haven't already

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...sPageName=WDVW

try these

nice one thanks bud i see the ebay injectors are yours!! i dont think i could do the T3 myself but can you run bieges when running standard boost etc also if i wanted to increase boost on the standard T2 is this poss with the bieges...and are they difficult to fit or do you just replace as you would a standard one,the reason is my T2 is knackered its blowing blue smoke and im wondering that i might aswell go for a T3 as it wont be that much more than a new/recon T2. many thanks

as in the sig below its having a few bits done at the mo and im hoping for 220+ when its all finished

the beiges are just a straight swap yeah. as for the turbo, the t2 isn't great in standard form and my hybrid is probably not as good as most of the hybrid t3's but it does spin up quick and the response is very good. downside is that they cost a bomb and t3 hybrid's are cheaper. as far as i know you just need to move the rad forward and probably the battery tray may be in the way, however someone who has done the conversion will be better off advising you. if you intend to run standard boost then you won't need beiges or a hybrid but if you think you may want to increase in the future you may as well buy right the first time and get your beiges and hybrid. presuming your engine is in good nick all you'll need is a chip and you'll see 170-180bhp no probs. get it set up properly though and take it for regular checks and it should last a long time.

For a T3 conversion you will need

Obviously a T3,
Escort turbo down pipe and manifold,
Escort turbo oil feed pipes,
You may need to move the rad forward but we just ground the actuator bracket back a bit
And a few boost hoses need to be modified slightly

its the best modification to a frst, its so worthwhile in the long run and as budweis said, its a lot cheaper than a T2 by far

the t3 is used on many turbo'd cars. so it more popular, and hence being cheaper

the t2 is used on the frst, and 5gtt i think. so a bit more scarce

you wont need 2 uprate the injectors, they will easily flow 180 bhp. so you can still run 12psi on a chip and it will be fine

and here's a guide on how 2 do it. its easy

i have a renny turbo and run a t28 as the t3 was a pain to fit. does the frst use a 5 bolt hole flange on the back of the turbo or the triangle 3 bolt hole like the escort? t28 gives me 185bhp with hardly any lag off a rover 220 turbo. a 200sx,pulsar use t28 as well i dunno about the config for exhausts. all i know is the tuners try and sell my turbo as a hybrid and charge a lot more money. same as t3 hybrid for escort uses mg maestro exhaust housing and cossie 2wd front with a bit of machining to front housing. all the best max

yeah, the t28 is also an upgrade option, its also a straight swap

the t2 is a 3 bolt flange, where as the escort uses 4 bolts

I just had a T3 conversion done on my car about 2 months ago i also had beiges+195chip and a escort pace intercooler, I was a very tight fit you do have to move the rad back and cut back the actuator bracket. I also had to hack large amounts of my front bumper out and some of the metal work behind it. I run 16psi of boost and it flyes well worth doing in all it cost £1800 thats inc labour. only do it yourself if you dont mind cutting and bending your car about/

We had loads of grief with Matty872's Everything needed to be chopped and moved and fettled. Might have had something to do with the fitment of the Escort RS Turbo Pace intercooler that we had fitted a few months earlier though.

An excellent improvement in the car though and it pulls very hard for just 16psi. And it chatters like a biatch
