Default Has anyone converted a 4x4 saph to 2wd

whats involved and what parts need to be changed

obviously the gearbox,mounts, sump and front hubs.

Would i be able to use the existing rear diff i.e ratio, prop and is a 4x4 oil pick up the same as a 2wd or will that need to be changed also cheers rich

you can leave the sump fitted just cut the passenger drive shaft surport lightly to fit the starter motor in. you can leave the front hubs just put the ends of the driveshafts back in to hold the hubs together. you can leave the clutch cable,
get a 2wd gearbox,2wd clutch release bearing,2wd flywheel,2wd starter motor, gearbox mount, 2wd prop and speedo cable job done about £450

the 4x4 diff is fine there stronger than people say. i'm still going on mine and it takes 440bhp flat out in second gear no probs

thanks matey right then the shopping list begins, would the 4x4 clutch bolt onto the 2wd flywheel?

Yes mate no probs.pm me if u have problems or rwd cossie will. Try and get the gear stick with the 2wd gearbox as there hard to get hold of.
