I brought my saph of an 83 year old man who lived 10mins away from me this is what it looked like the day i brought it.
Oh and wonder why there a waterin can! well we had a hose pipe ban and it was out of bounds

 

so after a few hour work and lots of smoke me and me mate had it under contol

 

That looks proper mate! Can't beat an 88spec in mercury grey. How much did you pay out of interest unless you don't wish to disclose? Also when did you buy it? The hose pipe ban was a few years ago wern't it.

 

now this is how she sits, i will have to drive it this summer!!!!! all my mates keep taking the piss so i will have to mot it and drive it. she got loads of new bits and needs and good cruise. I just love the colour

brought it in 2006 for Ł3000 long story and in the end i became good friends with the old boy and still speak to him now, he has an rs500 in auz, he moved there 2days after i brought it

 

Thats a bargin, how many miles has it got? He sounds pretty hardcore for an 83 year old :O

 

brought it with 82,000 on the clock its got 86,000 now.

 

i thought all saphs come wid vents in the bonnets

what a minter, looks good mate got to get it out this summer. We have the two mintest cossies in the area

Well it started like this


Then i drove it as an everyday car till my mate rudeboy3dr wrote off his saph and ibought the engine.







I bought the engine which is a 205 block low comp, wire rung, stud and nutted, t35, green's.
Other bits that have been changed are;
A1 rally chip
Large core rs500 cooler
Baily breather
grpA coil
grpA pump
samcos
mongoose exhaust
konis



My brother made me the header tank and swirl pot, he used to work for ATL fuel cells in miltonkeynes they make loads of f1 race bits, Dont no what power it is its boosting at 23psi

Looking at all these really makes me wont to drive it now maybe mot it next week!!!!!!

you should have kept it standard and got it detailed

 

each to there own, it was boring when it was standard, drove nice but still i built my own car the way i wont it.
i do my own cleaning, used to do it for a living so would pay anyone to do it for me plus i got all the gear.

I thought the breather point in the cam cover (that goes down in the block) was on the passenger side of the plugs ???? How come it's fitted to drivers side.

like that when i bought it, i need an other rocker cover to change it over, i have power graphs with the engine for powers for 372bhp and 365torque but this was a few years ago and it still runs lovely and powerful
