Default 4x4 cosworth non power steering rack

Is there such a thing as a non power steering rack for the 4x4 cos or 1 that will fit as i want to remove the power steering off the mk3, is there a aftermarket quick rack type or simlar

presumambly one would fit a 2wd x member but to fit it to a 4x4 x member I guess you would need to weld on new brackets to the rack

just take the pipes off and use corsa or punto electric type i have a pinto one

Andys is just a 1.6 non power steering rack with corsa motor & fancy control unit works a treat

its the mounting thats dificult carlo andy has a differrent one off sub frame

Why would you want to remove the p/s?? Do you need the space or just want a manual rack?? If its the later you will regret loosing the power assistance.

i used to run my pug with the pump removed & it was a pig when stood but ok on the move

wenny we will drop the belt off on wed night so you can see what its like

its a bit heavyer with fluid still in the rack

a power rack with the pump removed is far heavier to run that a non powered rack on the same car taking the belt off won't prove anything

thats only cos you are having to push everything about without help

ifr you disconectr trhe pipers itr will just become passive job done

i did ford fair n the nail last year with no pas belt as the tenshioner bolt snaped on the run down never stoped me doing the track time & getting home again

yes its just to save weight and maybe slight power running the pump
i might fit the corsa c pump to the column if the steerings to heavy
