Had my N95 which I was pretty happy with and replaced it a couple of weeks ago with a Sony Erricson C905 8Gb. It's a shocking piece of hatefull crap. Had a blazing row with T-Mobile as they told me they will only offer a replacement like for like. By their own admission they are having some issues with the Sony Erricsons not operating very well between GSm and 3G. As far as I'm concerned I'm paying for something and not getting it so have told them I want a new handset or i shall cancel the contract as they have failed to provide me with an item a) as described and b? is not fit for purpose.

Anybody suggest anything?

 

i came fron nokia n95 to c905 like you, but i think the c905 is the best phone i ever had, what is wrong with it?

 

It never has signal, when it does have signal it will drop out and vanish. When surfing th enet viewing say E-Bay you load an item up and try to view the image and all is fine. The next item you try and view the image for it uploads the first image you looked at. When paired to my Parrot CK3100 handsfree car kit it won't play the speakers are muted and I can't hear a poxy thing!

 

im about to upgrade, was thinking of an n96, but peeps like the n95 so may go for that tbh

 

i wanted the c905 but orange have stopped offering the phone as they have had 2 many probs with it, it crashes and dies quite oftern apparently!

not happy as it means i will have to have the c902 now which is crap compaired to the spec of the camera on the c905.. its no better than the k850i i have at min

 

best phones at the min is the Android ones. i've got the G1 but vodaphone have a new one called the magic. Lad at work has it, and it awsome. Android phones have got TV, metal detector, free music, free games, sat nav, spirit level, wifi, google earth ,street ,maps. full internet, the list goes on and to make it beter its ALL FREE.

iv just brought the sony ericsson c510 seems ok only payed Ł120 has a 3.2 meg camera plus virgin chip put 20 quid on and free txts and internet 4 a month to any network

 

Should be a new iPhone out this or next month, hold on for that. I've currently got iPhone 3G and love it and cant wait for the next gen.

you locked in a contract with T-Mobile ?

 

O2 are losing the monopoly by all accounts..

No but O2 isn't very good where I am. T-Mobile or Orange are my 2 options. Wouldn't go with Vodafone ever again after the hassle with them. Took a solicitors letter before they finally terminated our contract with them.

its slow, cant add memory, free apps are crap, camara is shocking, battery life is poo, i had t write every contact i manually, and i had to pay Ł100. I'd NEVER giv it a 2nd chance. Android rules

 

Slow ?.. mines never been slow. No need for extra memory when you got 16GB built in and can stream video and music from your pc over wifi or 3G from anywhere. contact thing is a pain but once youve done it, its done. Camera is good in natural light, but still poor against other camera phones on the market i'll give you that one.

I would seriously get it cancelled and wait as there is a lot of new kit due out come the end of june / start july.

At the very least i would get it swapped for the new w995, its the last every handset to use walkman or cybershot branding and if fully packed with, 8mp camera, wi-fi, gps, fully walkman functions, and loads more.

12MP camera phones are just around the corner, and the n97 will be released on 26th june also shortly followed by n86 nokias first 8mp camera.
