Right, swapped my super 8 for a level 8 ecu.
Removed all the extra injector/boost pot sub looms from my wiring loom.
Now if i plug the level 8 in and run it the ISCV is always flat out, the car idles at around 1700rpm. If i put the super 8 and greens back in the car idles fine and the ISCV works perfectly.
That leads me to think 2 things - either the wiring loom has been altered for the super 8 or the L8 is goosed
Has anyone gone back to a level 8 and had these problems?
Is there anyone who can run an L8 through diagnostics to check everything is ok with it?

does the s8 run the same tps as the L8?
i know you need to swap the two outer wires over on the tps, swapping to L8 from L6 etc on 2wd cars, so maybe its a wiring issue, and the L8 is thinking the throttle is wide open instead of closed?

The car drives spot on? My S8 was L8 based, but you may well be onto something my fair lover. As i think some of the sensors share a common earth or power? I'll have to check that one out!

lol,
if its on a pf09, i would swap the two outer wires on the tps plug and give it a try
as soon as the ecu detects an open throttle the iscv will open, having the wiring the wrong way makes the tps almost work backwards in idle position
so i would go with either the wrong tps, the wrong wiring, or the tps isnt set up correctly

Been out and metered out the TPS plug, i seem to have a PF09 sensor too, black in colour though? I thought they were mostly red?
From left to right i get 5V/signal/Earth

That sound correct?

what you really want to do is plug it back in put the ign on then get to the cables once connected, wether thats at the back of the plug or at the ecu and then find out if it goes from 0-5v or 5-0v
if it goes 5-0v then the 2 outer wires need swapping round.
