Ive upgraded to vista and im pissed off by all the stupid fucking annoying things it now does compared to XP not to mention how much resources it hacks up!!
One thing that really annoys me is it asking me twice for permission to do anything, be it edit folder name or delete something.
Anyone know how to delete/disable all those stupid over the top features?? ive looked in thier new gay security center and theres no obvious way to turn off the features i dont want.
It seems all vista does is add excessive shite and take control away from the user and enforce what microsoft thinks best and make you having your own settings as difficult as possible!
Any advice before i roll back to XP

you get used to it after a while anyway.
office xp "should" run fine. I think I had to turn off UAC to install it though so if you didnt do that then it might be worth re-installing it with UAC off. (if not office xp it was publisher).

Think your buggered with Acrobat, think 8 is the earliest version with official Vista compatibility.
Check for updates for Word from office.microsoft.com, might be something there for you.
As for UAC, sorry I don't agree, its invasive. If I want to install something, I've either inserted the CD or opened a folder, double clicked the file and accepted the do you want to run this file. I don't then need something else asking me if I'm sure about what i want to do. This isn't Who wants to be a millionaire, I don't need to 50/50 it or phone a friend.
For those that do want to use UAC, you can have it run in silent mode instead of turning it off. Use the link below.
