Thought id check out the history of my rs, reg number D25TCX,used the 1 thats on tv at the min where u send a txt in of your reg n they tell u the history, well mine came back as stolen!!! they gave me the name of the insurance who reported it stolen, the co op.So i rang them an they didnt want to know, and i can still get insurance on it an never been stopped by the police in it.Where do i stand with it?
gutted mate, best to go police and find out tho, although u could end up losing the car.
if u had a mate who worked at police station u could get them to find out,if it did come back as stolen ,i would strip it,cos if police get hold of it u will never get anything back out of it. just my thoughts really

I wouldn't trust them all 100% at all
I've just sold my truck, and the prospective buyer did an HPI check - it came back as being Cat-D write off on 9/10/07 under the reg R77URF. However, this registration mark was not assigned to my vehicle untill the 26-11-2007 - so tell me how my truck was wrote off 2 months earlier when it had the reg FM04VKL on it and not the private plate?
A few disgruntled phonecalls later and all has been sorted - HPI have fucked up and assigned the damage details to the wrong chassis number - instead of assigning them to the chassis number for the truck that was wrote off, they have put it on my truck - and refuse to change it
But its all sorted now with confirmation of their bollock dropping - but it was hard work

To be honest HPI do make mistakes. I have had this problem where on 1 check system it kept saying my car was stolen. Whereas all the others said it was not,
Police never stopped me.
I gave the company a call to ask "why the car had come up as stolen" They had made a mistake with the chassis numbers.
The matter was then resolved by me writing in.
