Default Oil Pumps! As my last thread got WAY off topic!

I know people say that the high pressure oil pumps from Burtons, Kent, etc.. are crap and that a standard Ford item is the way to go. But does anyone actually have any evidence of this or is it just internet chinese wispers??

Whats wrong with them? Do they not produce higher oil presure? Are they unreliable and fail? Who has actually ran one and had a problem?

Keen to find out as i want to change my oil pump asap!

Thanks Fella's!

I had a high oil pressure oil pump on my car from Burtons, never had a problem with it.

I recently had to get a new oil pump though cause when swapping the crank oil seal it had to be glued on to the Burtons one and came off in a million pieces. The ford one i replaced it with went on perfectly (but then i guess it would being genuine ford parts designed to fit each other).

Get Ford!
