F1 question

Why are they using tyres with green stripes?
I know the white stripe is the soft tyre, never seen green before

Bridgestone have put the green stripes on for the TV viewer to be able to see more easily how the different teams wear their tyres.

No its just because they want people to think that F1 is thinking about the enviroment. F1 cars do about 5mpg....
