i have a 3dr cos shell, it has no sunroof and no rear turrets for the rear suspension springs to locate on, my mate keeps telling me its a motorsport shell, is he right or wrong or is there any other way of checking??

 

You have the group a version which was made in 1989 and has loads of little brackets missing as they came in a seperate bag, the original 1986 motorsport shells were made to group n spec with all the brackets in place

Yours will also have the later saff hole for the fuse box
