Default Graphic Display Module and Warning Lights

Hello

Occasionally over a bump the two warning lights above the clock in the centre of the dash come on - i.e the one's for low petrol and low water level. At the same time the Graphic Information module shows all 4 doors open, brake light test, headlight test and ice warning ( basically it all lights up ).
I'm presuming it's a loose wire/multiplug etc somewhere in the connections/loom, maybe at the back of the display. Another bump and they all go off......

Anyone had this before - also what's the easiest way to get at the back of these 2 modules with as little dismantling of the dash as poss? Do they pull out from the front.....or can you get at the back of them easily?

Any ideas? I hate electrical things/taking trim apart

They all come out of the front mate and are simply screwed in to place. You may need a stubby screwdriver to get at the angles as it were but thats about it. There is usually plenty of wire behind the module too, so it is easily pulled out.

Hope that's it

Ah the two screws, that go upwards just above the stereo aperture? Not sure whether they held the lower part of dash onto the upper but I'll give it a try now. Thought I might have to get the centre air vents out to push them from behind or similar

Cheers Andy

As Paul says it should be there but I've seen them hang loose too. Spot it from under the dash if thats the case - could also be the problem if its unmounted!!
