Lots of people using Autronic in the UK but mainly sm4 & a few sm2, no idle problems that I know of.
Dave Moss's car suffers a bit with idling from cold currently (well did when running last)
His doesnt have an ICV yet though, but will do shortly
Oz_rs500 does your car run an ICV, or does it rely on the timing alone to stabilise the idle from a fixed throttle angle?
Im sure if you can give some details about your setup, that Mark Shead will be able to help you, I would imagine he has more knowledge/experience of Autronic on the YB than anyone else on the planet!

hi guys,
i believe mine does have an Idle control Valve.
not sure if it's working too good though.
You should have good Idling, Check to see what the idle valve is doing and the duty cycle of it.
Mark
Hi Mark,
you made it
how do i check, what should i be expecting to see?
btw, i am not a tuner. i recently had a fall out with my tuner/friend and the car was never tuned properly, so i'd like to had a fiddle and improve on what i have.

Take a look at the IAC table and then look at duty cycle when the engine is warm, I would adjust the throttle flap open to achive 0% duty, If it still hunts look at the AFR on tick over,
You can send me your map and I will look at it for you.

Hi Mark,
thanks for your reply.
i will have a look once my wife comes back from her business trip as her PC has my autonic maps (mine doesn't have a serial port).
Have a look on www.classicford.mine.nu it is an aussie forum and there are a few members running autronic ecu's.. have a look in the 1/4 mile / dyno section particularly
