Selling As Spares Or Repair ? as i don't know what's wrong with it ! Basically Had It Rolling Roaded 2 Weeks Ago And Went For The Mot Who Said It Was Running Too Rich, Had It Adjusted To Pass Emissions And Got 13 Months Mot But The Car Was Running A Bit Crap, So Had The Mixture Etc Turned Up And The Car Was Running Normal Again, Went To Get It Re Rolling Roaded And After Several Runs The R/r Had To Be Terminated As The Car At High Revs Was Making A Tapping Type Noise ? I got the car recovered and at low revs/tickover it's not making any noise. I can't afford to get it looked at or repaired as i've spent over £7k on it in 3 months and have had enough.
If you know what you're doing or someone in the trade it could be a cheap fix ? rebuild ? or if you've got an engine ready could save time and money.
I am open to sensible offers on the car which is immaculate, please don't mess me about if you're not interested as i have had a very bad day !

A car not running right and on the register?? Can you not afford to fix it?? IMO the car isnt worth a great deal in the current state, so if i was you, id sort it! especially with what youve spent.

The car looks stunning and you need to keep going! take it to a specialist to see what they say?

 

I think sometimes you have to draw the line somewhere and stop otherwise you just keep spending, tbh i have had enough, get it rebuilt then what's next ?. This is my 6th RS and i'd hate to sit and add up what i've spent over the years.

Had a few people pm asking if it starts and drives, it does, the noise is coming on at high revs. Tbh if anyone is genuinley interested it's best to come and view/listen to it in person.

Cheers mate, yeah that's what i've started at ONO, I appreciate i'm not going to get that but it's a marker. So far had 28 pm's asking how much ! and 1 definite £3.5k and a provisional £4k pending viewing tomorrow, (that's what i'm looking at if someone wants to match it.) hope this clears thing up. The car needs to be viewed to be appreciated as it's much better than the photos

is a very clean car and the cat d was not even bad! was still a straight car and driveable before it was repaired, couldnt even see any damage unless you looked close. mr 007RS is a fussy one, and likes things to be perfect, so rest assured, this is not a pile of scrap

I reconise this car ,this was my old cossie ,until someone kindly hit me up the arse. It is an immaculate example, and the damage was not that bad, i paid over 7k for it !

 

Hi mate, there was a receipt with the paperwork for £7800 from late last year.

 

i paid £7800 for it, then had the headgasket done, new valve guides,full cometic top end gasket set ,new ap clutch,stage 3 jullian godfrey chip, greens , map sensor ,owed me over 9.5k

 

Anyone ? last day before i sorn it and store it

Looks gorgeous, faulty engine or not, its certainly worth 4k! Worst comes to worst, get another lump/remove and rebuild, you have yourself a mint cosworth.

You could probs pick up a rebuilt lump for a 1.5k, a weekends worth or work and your laughing. Understandable if the owner is getting fed up of spending money and fucking about with them tho, we all get to that stage. But for someone, there is a great opportunity waiting here.
