MK1 Escort V6

Hi, does anyone know if a 2.8 Granada box will bolt directly onto an Essex 3.0 engine. Thanks, Bill.

would have thought so.
info i have indicates all fors bellhousing bolt patterns were the same until mazda got involved with the duratec etc..

Sadly not .
To use any of the Type 9 range of boxes you need the Cast bell housing from the 4 speed 2.5 litre Mk1 Granada . Or a Flowted version etc..

doh. i stand corrected!
you'd think i'd know that since i have a type 9 myself!

was sure i was using an rs2000 bellhousing too.. been a while since i even saw the thing though!
