I have just been reading today what sounds we British like to hear according to a vote. They are>

2. pub garden chatter
3. waves on a beach
4. a cricket bat hitting a ball
5. people playing tennis
6. drink poured over ice
7. seagulls cawing
8. pigeons cooing
9. clinking glasses
10. rain

Me? Ill settle for a lovely cold can of lager being opened when it goes ptsssh!

cant beat the sound of leather on willow!!also agree with the waves on the beach!!surprised nothing about the noise of a spitfire!good old merlin lump!
