Default Vibration at low revs . Propshaft ???

My car suffers a terrible vibration if i put it in 5th gear at anything lower than about 2500rpm. Once you get a bit of speed up it goes . This means that driving is mostly done in 4th gear lol. Does this sound like the propshaft cetre bearing doughnut thingy,UJs or something else ???

Cheers Gaz

Exhaust maybe. But why drive in 5th below 2500rpm ? you must be doing about 40mph

Well maybe its a bit more than 2500rpm but you know what i mean, when you're driving along in a row of traffic doing 50mph ish,its getting to be a pain dropping to fourth all the time.

I get the same thing at the same speed/same gear.
I have got rid of about 60% of mine by changing the gearbox mount, then the offside engine mount cured about 50% of the remainder, still got the nearside mount to do.
I drive down to 1500rpm in 5th gear, regularly so you are not alone!!

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't drive flat out in every gear all the time LOL

I actually forget to change gear as mostly drive an auto!!
When I go to the local MKT(Snetterton) I often go down to 1000/1200 in top gear around the sharp bends , as roads are VERY slippy so keep it in a high gear, then get to A11(duall carriageway) and hit 7300rpm in each gear!!

Mine pulls from 800rpm in TOP GEAR, not a ball of fire, of course but pulls cleanly with no snatch, took cozmeister out in it to show him what it was like, and did this with him in it.
