Default Cosworth 2wd - std size discs/pads

I've always had Ford's own discs and pads on my Sapphire 2wd....however, it seems they're on backorder from the dealers ( unless anyone knows where I can get some quick ) and I need some more std size discs and pads.
What would people recommend? I'm not really bothered about grooved/drilled ones - just something as good as Ford's own stuff, good cold response, perhaps a bit more bite.
What about Ferodos? Which ones are good for fast road and whose discs would you recommend?

Anyone used the National discs from Burton Power?
What are the Ferodo DS2500 like for road use?

Anyone recommend a particular make of standard (non drilled/grooved ) disk?

Mine are on AP 6 pots btw, but yes, fine from cold. They do generate a bit of dust, but that's better than chewing discs...

I use brake engineering discs, about £35(pair) from local factors, and ebc yellowstuff pads, although redstuff is awsome as well.
Can't stick ferrodo's myself but everyone has faves, just find ferrodo's have a dead feel all the time and crap as well, whereas ebc have excellent feel.

Cheers

like i said, rally design are very cheap and the mintex pads i got from them were spot on even after many 100-0 and 140-0 hard stops. I think they're something like £35 rather than the £70 odd that ford charge for pads!
