HDR Images
Like this, Anyone else into them or have any? Just came across a few on www.flickr.com Looks smart IMO

Those moving shots are not TRue HDR. (High Dynamic range)
They will be one RAW file where the exposure has been adjusted and conbined, not a true 3x RAW file 32bit file.
They do look excellent though.
Matt.
ps, a couple of mine:

I found a tutorial and followed that.
Basically, you need a tripod and decent camera that you can change the exposure time on and use RAW images.
Then you have to load them all into Photoshop CS2 and merge them into a HDR image, then mess about with the settings to get the look you want.
My effort isnt 100% due to my camera not taking RAW images, but Im quite impressed with how it has turned out compared to a normal pic! (Will post one in a min for comparison)
Ive left it as a link as the pic is over 1MB to retain quality:

Make suew you are viewing it in its full size or it wont look as good

Basically, when a camera takes a photo, it cannot capture the full range of light in the shot.
A picture is obviously made up from the very light sunny bits, down to the dark shadows, and all that is inbetween.
The average camera can only grab a limited range (very expensive ones have wider ranges) so you take a number of shots, each with a different exposure setting.
You then end up with shots capturing the dark areas, and the lightest ones all in greater detail than if you took just one shot to cover them all.
Then you can merge them all, and take the "best bits" from each, to create one single image that shows the whole range better.
I hope that makes sense!
This is a "normal" shot taken at the same time as the different exposure ones I used to create mine.
