am trying to sell the wifes car and have had a e-mail from a guy in spain ( he says he is welsh ) all the details are on the ad but he seems to want info about the car so he can have it shipped to spain and will pay with a major british bank draft he is in my opinion a bit too keen says he wants it for his wife cos he used to have a car the same and she liked it , he wants me to tell him the final price but it`s not on eblagg it`s on pistonheads
so the price is on the ad
also he says he works for a big building firm but can`t make international calls due to phone probs so how can he e-mail me
what do u think is he one of these scammers , dont want to give away too much info as he could clone the thing

Me too when I sold my vRS.
Almost got sucked in but alram bells started ringing.
The bad spelling pissed me off too!!!

i had one quite a few years ago now,before the scams were well known.

i had fully rebuilt show condition s2 turbo for sale on ebay.a guy emailed me saying he was part of the group who organised the paris-dakkar rally.their company was based in canada and they wanted the car to show in their headquarters there.i wanted 5k for the car and he said he would send me a bank draft to cover the cost of the car plus the shipping to canada but the draft would be sent from his base in africa.the scams werent too well known at this time and although i was suspicious i went along with it just in case it was genuine.
a few days later a dhl letter came with a lloyds tsb draft for £8000,i was to put this in the bank and then when the shipping co contacted me,pay them the £3000 shipping.........
as it was a tsb draft from a branch in london(?),i took it to my local tsb branch (who i bank with),and they said it looked ok-i explained the circumstances so they looked a little deeper and it turned out the branch had been closed for 2 years!
same day i get a witheld number from an african guy wanting me to pay him £3000 out of my account,he could barely speak english.i took his details and took it to the bank.they interviewed me and told me there was a lot of this happening now.
he rang me again a day later asking me wether i had done the bank transfer and although he could barely speak english,he understood FUCK OFF!.........

 

thing is it`s only a mk5 13 endura that i brought for the wife to learn in

big mistake as she is crazzzzzzzy behind the wheel

too fast and furious for me thinks she can drift a fiesta

mind u she is ace at karting no fear

she wants to try drifting once she has some time behind the wheel
