Default Big Spanners !!!

Guys,

What can you use big spanners for on a car i.e. upwards of say 24mm ?

Was in the tool shop about an hour ago as I need a 22m to undo a ball joint nut and whilst in there came out with a complete set from 20-32mm as they seemed so cheap.

The 32mm is fooking huge !!!

Anyway, do these massive spanners get much use on anything automotive ? or will the bigger sizes never see daylight

32mm is nothing. I have a couple of 80mm sockets in the stores at work and several different sizes in between.

Hub nuts. Biggest I have seen on a car is 38mm. Diff pinion flanges etc...

I have a 64mm spanner for removing drop arms on Dennis Javelin steering boxes as they won't come off without removing the drop arm like on a truck.
