Default Oil pressure/temp gauge

Just bought myself a dual oil pressure/temp gauge and I'm looking to fit it but need some advice...

Is it safe to replace the sump plug with the temp pick up? Also for the pressure pick up can I screw in another splitter like the one used for the turbo oil feed/oil pressure switch?

Any advice appreciated

is this a recetek gauge with a HUUUUGE temp sensor by any chance?

if so youre best bet is to get the sump off and have a nut welded on so u can screw the temp sender in!

i havent got my oil temp gauge hooked up as i didnt want the sump drilled as it will usually end up leaking oil through there. Is there any other options.

ran, you CAN get adapters that fit inline off the oil feed to turbo etc.

BUT

these will NOT give you a real indication of the actual oil temperature due to the location.

if you want it to be accurate, its gotta go in the sump

and yes they do often leak, which is a shame

Dave, shut it (at least I'm gonna attempt to fit it)

bollocks its goin in the sump plug then, Lewis did you use the rubber washer with yours you get with new sump plugs?

Also the T piece is gonna be for the pressure feed not the temp
