Default Glad Button is staying at BAR...

Best team in F1 at the moment.......IMHO...

Not cause they are winning just cause they are moving faster than any other team on the grid.

Good decision IMHO.

Nope, I'm gutted that BAR won the case.

However, there's a few factors to decide. Button has said (and let's not forget his management arn't that stupid lol) that he will be racing for Williams next year. He didn't say anything about winning or loosing the court case - so fingers crossed, he will be 'purchased' by Williams.

Dave Richards wouldn't want to 'stop' Button from leaving, but he would want to stop him from going for free! At least this way, Williams will have to 'break' the contract with a new agreement - likely, over a lot of cash!

My fingers are still crossed for Anthony Davidson, he's been incredible at BAR as third driver this season. He raced against Button from the ages of 9 years old, all the way through to european karting, where I also saw these two race Alonso, Raikonnen etc.

Dave Richards has said - if they lost the court case (or Button)...they will be racing Davidson.

Give Ant a season - he is better (definatly the potential to be) than Jenson.

Ahhh yeah, was a touchy subject but TBH I thought Williams had him. I hope this don't cause any hardfeelings between the team and button.

If a team done that to me Id make fookin sure that car started on the back row everytime until they sorted something out

yeah ,but look what happens to the hasbeens that give up trying, end up at sauber or somewhere worse,(jaguar).
You gotta keep your name in the frame if you want to end up in a championship contending car, unless your name is barrichello of course(w*nka)

only one"big" team on bridgestones at the moment, ferrari, and they ain't very often the fastest cars through the speed traps ,but I bet if they had "virtual spectator" as they do on wrc , you would see the speed/grip they carry through the corners

Think it's a bad decission. Button clearly doesn't want to stay and it could affect his thinking next season if he feels he has been trapped by BAR.

Unless you are ferrari, most teams have had up and down years. For some reason I don't think BAR will do as well next year.

I hope I'm wrong though

Pizzonia will be Williams Number 2

i think it's a piss poor outcome and bad for everyone concerned.

In 2 years time Williams will shat all over BAR.

BAR are spending money at a seriously rapid rate to catch up!

Whats gonna happen when the money stops? They keep going HUGELY over budget at the moment.

When they have to keep to their budget theyre gonna drop like a stone

Button needs to go to Williams, at williams the only way is up!

Button has said he'll race for Wiliams in '06...Williams have agreed.

Look at it from Williams' perspective now though. They had Ralf Schumacher AND Monty...Now, they've got Webber (although I rate him) and potentially Pizzonia!?

They could still try and 'buy out' the contract of Buttons, but that doesn't look likely. Sadly, I don't think Davidson stands much chance at Williams now either (he before Button showed interest in the Williams seat was the prime target to race alongside Webber) so my bro's only hope is that the Midland UK team manage to purchase and run the ex-Jag team!

If neither of those options open up for him - he'll hopefully race at BAR in '06!!!!

I think Button may well be content with doing another year of BAR, I predict BAR will just give him an insentive to stay, i.e. more cash!

BAR are a good team. British American Tobacco are very rich. Button is a clean, smooth racer and this suits the car (this is why Taku is struggling)...

Also, BAR shouldn't opt for Bridgestone, as they put too much time into the Ferrari squad. At least with Michelin, they work on getting a tyre to work best for each car...where-as Bridgestone obviously just tailor make their entire package for Ferrari.

Anyway - I wish good luck to Button and also good luck to the Midland UK team to get things sorted for '05...

I love the webber and pizzonia team up, same line up for jag when they sacked pizonia for not keeping up as webber was usually middle high end of the pack. thats gonna be fun.

Pizzonia is sh*t! He was ok in testing, a few track records, but as soon as it came to real racing he bottled it!

there was talk of the mechanics not listening to his setup ideas, but even racing in the williams he was only just ahead of webber in a jag(good car, but really shit engine!!!)
