Anyone heard or know how good a:

Group A Dog Leg MT Sport Box is?

or if one even exists

No, they did exist.
Rare as fook now, they were known as the MT75 sport box.
Helical, with synchromesh, direct 5th.
Quaife's MT75 dog box uses a similar layout, with reverse at the back of the case, then 1st, 2nd, and so on.
Virtually impossible to get bits for now though

oh ok as there a car i've been offered with the box and similar spec'd diff's if you know what i mean i.e Grp A stuff.

any idea on how much one of these would fetch?

also the diffs? The rear is a 7 1/2 Plated item, he's not sure on the front or centre diff but he says its along the same spec's

Is it a good box bernie? i.e what bhp/trq can it handle?

How much would the resell be on one?

Any ideas?

Good condition, iro £1500- £2000

Depends on what make of slipper. The old ZF plate diff only had two planets so wasn't very strong (although stronger than a standard vc)

Hi ,
I used one of these Sport Boxes in my Escort racecar, great box , good feel and easy to get used to , As Bernie says , the bits are hard to get but not impossible , i know where a new layshaft and gear cluster is , pricey tho ! I used a 4.4 diff ratio throughout and it worked well with the direct top 5th.

There was one on ebay recently... think it was Jon's off here. He was selling it after buying Martins R+D as I remember.

What power can they handle Bernie? any faster shifting than a Bigtooth?

i dont think it will be as its still got synchromesh
