IIRC the 2.5TD manifolds bolt straight on.

i know for a fact some aftermarket manifolds get in the way in RHD form as you got the steering column and mater cyl in the way on a RHD car tho.

but that manifold, im not sure.

well had a result today i turned the original manifold upside down and bolted it back on and it leaves the downpipe flange up front and facing up

so ive cut the flange of the downpipe and started making a swanneck type joint like the cossies have. ive got the turbo and an rs turbo wastegate housing and downpipe set in place where i want it right up front behind the headlights. so ive read with some more fuel and 7 psi should be somewhere between 220 and 250 hp

it wont win any concourse awards thats for sure but with a welded diff and possibly 250 hp will be a decent winter blast.

whats an "8:1 FMU" ?

What calculations did you do, as by the sounds of it you plan to use the existing management, but have made no reference to what the duty cycle is at full throttle on the existing software.

Also if you just go bigger on the injectors you will of course run into problems with fuelling off boost.

Have you considered a pikey motorsport 7th injector setup?

fmu is a fuel management unit. it will give me 8 psi of fuel pressure for every 1 psi of boost so up to 5 psi will still be on original fpr at 3 bar but after than will increase by 8 psi for every 1 psi of boost. then engine will be around 220 hp at 5 psi so i need injectors to cope with 220 hp up to the 5 psi and then after that the fmu will increae fuel pressure according to boost. and my maximum fuel pressure will be 4.5 bar at 8psi boost which should be ok. if i run with 19lb injectors at 7psi i will have to run 84 psi and at 8 psi boost would be 96 psi so as far as i can gather 24lb is minimum i just hope it will idle its gona be rich but i think it will still run as long as not left idling to long

Ah, a rising rate regulator.

there is a page on the web //jdturbocharging.com and he claims to have run 7 psi on a t3 with .63 an intercooler and an fmu and no management or spark modifications whatsoever and made 218 atw and 0-60 increased from standard 7.4 to 5.9 and 1/4 mile from 15.4 to 14.2. but says he was on the limit of fueling so hopefully il make a bit more than that 1 psi more boost, a bigger turbo and more fuel

Welded diffs are entertaining on the road

E36 325D ex manifold is straight fit I believe, modded one is a damn sight cheaper though

i want to use one of my import t04e turbos and they are big not enough room down the side so im uptting it upfront the compressor housing is sitting behind the headlight all the heat will be away from the head aswell which has gotta be a good thing.

turbo is now bolted in place, with rs turbo wastegate housing and downpipe flange, ive took the rad out put a rs500 style 60mm core intercooler in and just managed to slip the rad in front of it just had to mod the front end a bit. made a flange to bolt on afm with 65mm steel tube coming out and fitted to intercooler. ive cut the turbo side intercooler inlet pipe of just gotta get it ally welded on the top of the outer case to go to turbo. got 22lb injectors on the way. just need a 10:1 rrfpr (fmu). should hopefully make 250 hp at 8psi.

thats why i havnt been on here for a few days ive been in the barn with me welder and tape measure

i will take some pics when ive finished the mock up. gotta strip it again then and put it together properly and paint manifold etc. its not a show winner by a long long long way. the car owes me nothing infact ive made more out of it than it cost me. my budget is Ł200 so making pretty much everything. ive got a pile of all different parts in my alladins cave i just want a winter hack thatl sit with standard scoobys and the like and be able to get another engine for Ł100 if i blow it up.

just what i was tryin to make , until my cossie came along and used all me cash up , moveing very slowly , just about to order a manifold from these guys
all in usa sorry
http://www.turbochargingdynamics.com/tcd_catal.htm.
here are some dyno figures useing these kits
m20b25 S1 at 9psi = 235rwhp
m20b25 S2 at 13psi = 285rwhp
m20b25 S2 at 16psi = 320rwhp
m20b25 with standalone and 16psi = 345rwhp or better
these guys do cheap converters for standard manifold
http://www.666fabrication.com/
good luck with the project

thanks for info mate. i had a t3/t4 laying about with rs turbo wastegate housing so had to make me own custon adapter to get turbo where i needed it. it aint preety but i dont care as long as it works
hopefully i should see 225 rwhp then at 8 psi il be happy with that for under Ł200

cost so far car was less than free and i aint jokin. intercooler Ł30, injectors Ł40, still need 10:1 fmu Ł60. everything else im gonna make got full rs turbo exhaust to mod, 10 for heatproof paint and should be away hopefully

got 22lb 231 cc on the way i think the same as 635. they will suport 210 hp at 43.5 psi although 635 was 218 so im covered. 4 psi of boost will be 210 hp so im covered to that then with a 10:1 fmu im gonna try run max of 80 psi fuel pressure at 8 psi boost which will make me 40 cc rich which i think should be ok rather be rich than lean. i was gonna go 24 lbers but where do you stop the thing has got to try and idle on them so gotta keep sensible.
