I have just bought a Zetec 2i as a winter hack as my rs has gone in to hibernation.the problem im having is that if i hold the car at high revs it will blow oil out of the rocker cover breather.any help appreciated

 

You mean out of the actual breather or the oil cap?

Clean through the breather if it's gunked up?

If you take the oil cap off and its puffy and the egnine note changes, it's an indication that your bottom end is fucked.


If it IS that, just buy a 2 litre zetec engine and put it in , spea to billycabrio on here as he did it fairly cheap with great results

 

i have put a rocker cover breather filter on(looks like a mini air filter)and i stii does it.if i drive it sensibly its fine no indication of a problem it has to be driven hard to blow oil out and has reciept for a recent bottom end rebuild.

already have a 2 litre on stand by
