Default Some people! Reverses into my car and drives off! (pic)

First i know its a Ford forum and this is about my BMW but i do have a RS aswell lol!

Was in my local pub tonight only popped in to see the lads, manager comes running up to me and says you better go see your car. so i go out to the car and i get explained to me what happened, some mindlesss Twat has reversed out his space into my car and his tow ball has hooked onto my front bumper, and he just drove off as fast as he could WITH MY BUMPER!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a whitness, reg number of ther car, and CCTV evidences,

I ring the police and after answering there questions etc, he turns round and says "tbh mate your best of going to your local station"

I found the bumper half a mile away

Car used to look like this

Pics of how it is now to be uploaded soon!!!!!

Hopefully, i went to the police station and she gave me a Road Traffic collision/Accident form, and she said you can use this form to claim from your insurance, i said huh? im not getting penalised for something thats not my fault when i have his reg number etc,

all i can do is fill the form out and hope meanwhile the car looks a mess, bumper in bits, and some twat laughing to his mates that he got away with reversing into a car while most probably pissed up!

Lol, Depends by often,

Often enough to know that a certain user has "in his opinion" the greatest collection of all cars and has to remind people in every other post

Ah, the resident middle aged wigger, WORD.

When you got back to the pub did anyone know the fella in question?

Odds are he drove off cause he was over the limit so didnt want to be breathalysed, you might find him perfectly reasonable about it now he is sober and has nothing to worry about, and he may be prepared now to hand over his insurance details etc.

have you filled the police form out yet?

do that first

odds are that it won't be covered by the insurance because it's not on the public road so you might have to fork out for yourself

alternativly you can get the police to let you know who his insurance company is and then go to them direct, this has been known to work in the past where they circumnavigate your incuarance company so you don't get a blot on your record

Na no one knew who he was, and the manager said he hasnt seen the car before as far as he can remember, so might of been a offchance he was passing and decided to stop for a beer or ten,

If you have all the details of the car, registration and witnesses / CCTV coverage, your insurance company will just claim off his policy if you pass the information over to them.

The police or his insurance company will be able to tell him if the owner was insured .

no they won't, confidential information. Will have to be sorted through the insurance company, or a private claim through the courts.

Hopefully mate.

Although police really dont seem interested and just lumper you off with forms, going to inform the insurance company tomorrow and see what happens, Police would rather catch speeding motorists to be honest! Less paper work i suspect!

One of mine too. Definately insured as of July as I just checked the paperwork.

dave1982rst Hope you get it sorted mate. Shame the feds never went round to his house as he may have been over the limit..hence why he drove off without stopping.
