Dead locking/double locking? My Escort has it but I don't actually know what it is
And also, am I right into thinking I can't get another key cut if I don't have a red key?
Thanks

As for the key I'm not sure. On my vec the ignition/ door key activates the deadlocks. Put key in door and twist/turn once to lock the doors, twist it again and it operates the deadlocks.
Yeah I know how to activate it, sorry that was another question.
I only have one key you see and want to get another cut incase but something tells me I can't without the original red key
