Default Temp Guage Is it wrong??

My temp gauge in the s2 looks like there might be something wrong with it?? When i turn the engine off it drops right down (see picture) should it do this or should it sit at the bottom of the gauge where the cold bit starts?? help!

Assuming it works fine when your driving, then whoever has changed the dials had put the needle back on wrong.

You need to take the actual needle off and push it back on at the right angle.

mine used to sit just above that in my old rs turbo but when i used to turn the ignition on the needle used to rise to just under the first box ( cold ) & when warm bang in the middle of the gauge. if you got lockwood or the plazma dials in your car then the needle would have not been taking off to fit these dials as the dials go over the needle's.

oh forgot to say if the fan cut's in when the needle is in the middle of the gauge then it's doing its job just fine ( the needle that is ) hope this helps.

pull the needle off, switch on the ignition, put the needle back on the start of the black cold box, easy!
