mfi to efi help im stuck plz
jus bought a fiesta rs turbo engine 2 put in my escort, as the old 1 was knackerd, but it was mfi, an now i got efi, how do i modify my loom, as the garage is waiting on me cuz they aint sure wat needs 2 b done, will i need 2 buy a fiesta rs turbo ecu? an anythin else i will need? speedy replies much appreciated!! cheers
your need map sensors, different ECU, Fiesta turbo engine wiring loom for Ofab, differnet fuel relays the list goes on.
To be honest mate i think with the amount of time and work it will take a garage to modify it to EFi your better off getting it back and finding out exactly what needs to be done or risk a huge bill from the garage as its not an easy/quick thing to do even for a mechanic.

Seriously mate, take it to someone who knows how to do the conversion, as it will save you money in the long run

theres more to this conversion that at first it seems, sure the wiring is relatively simple but its all the little things- just get the efi engine in and bolt up all the mfi stuff with an inlet adapter plate, do it in stages or it will take ages cus it did for me after i was told loads of times how easy it is

It will also depend on how busy they aree as well if they can take on the job. Grove will prob do it but you can say good bye to your car for about 4 weeks if not more but the job finished is top quality

Thanks for your genuine opinion Tom.
As said above the conversion seems so easy when talking about it. But there is alot more to making the system work 100% and look 100%.,.
Any fool can throw a management system together and hope for the best.
Then charge you silly money to do it.
Its when you need the system to be reliable and trouble free that you will get issues.
