Hi guys
Ive converted my Escort bonus to S2 running gear, and have a bit of a problem

I want to get it booked in to be set up this month @ Jamsport, but before i do i want to get the car at least running half decently! The problem is that as soon as you press the accelerater, the car coughs and splutters and the revs increase but it sounds as though it drops onto 3? Would like to get this sorted before i book it in for a full tune(more embarrasment than anything else ) was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions?

New items during the build were:Timeing belt(correctly fitted and adjusted then re-checked) Coil, leads, Plugs, Dizzy, Rotor arm, Dizzy cap, Fuel pump and lines, fuel filter etc, so all the usual parts that go wrong on these cars is new Its getting spark, Fuel and doesnt kick any smoke out the back at all.

Could it really be as simple as needing the fueling and ignition timing setting up?

Hope someone can give me some pointers as i desperatly need it ready for its set up and on the road
