I haven't got anything as advanced as a CTS Stage 2 and although they do blow up occassionally, I'd expect nothing else at the power I have.

It's just something I have kind of learnt to live with.

C.T.S Box should be fine, depending on power and driving style.

If you drive it like you stole it all the time, any bnox is going to feel the strain.

Mines a CTS Stage 1 box and so far has coped with 260bhp and several track days without a murmur. I'm expecting it to break though as I'm running it far beyond what I've been advised and planning to pop another 40 bhp through it in the next year

My 6 speed box from the Focus ST170 is still okay but -

Its just stripped the splines out of the twin plate clutch. Bit too much power!!!

Box should cope ok,but the smart money says you should send the box back to Bernie once a year for a check up if running big BHP/Torque.Regards,Micky

the box should be ok with that power i eventually broke a cts stage two with my 1.9cvh plus nitrous, i changed to a stage two plus but i have the box checked every year by cts and there is always parts which need changing.. the bc box internals just fall apart with huge torque but at lease the cts stage two plus is a big improvement from standard..

wing can you describe the noise and are you sure its the box?
