Default newbie needing some help please

Firstsy hello to you all! Secondly i have a problem i fitted a turbo to my series 2 and ive now tried starting it up. It started up but when i give it some gas it doesnt rev and cuts out? Its been parked quite a while and used to work totally fine prior to the turbo going. The boost pipe seems to collapsing and then blowing back up if thats a clue to anyone! A friend told me to get some help from here, so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

If the boost hose is collapsing, you need to replace it as it shouldnt collapse

Ive checked all hoses etc. I took the pipe off the throttle body. i noticed the flap which takes in air doesnt open or close its just shut. Is that the way its meant to be? I recall it opening and closing but im not sure

The throttle body should open and close, take the charge carrier off and on the left hand side where the throttle cable attaches to the throttle body if you pull the catch towards you the throttle flap should open
