I am just rebuilding my engine, but the crankshaft has been machined before for smaller dimeter fron crankshaft seal. I want it welded and machined back to nominal dimetion. Can someone plase post me inner diameter of front crankshaft seal or even better diameter of the crank in this place?

it's the same as the auxilliary shaft seal - could you measure that ?

 

Which auxilliary shaft? Gearbox?

 

oil pump/dizzy driving auxilliary shaft on engine

 

It's small turbo... I don't think it has it.

 

it doesn't have a dizzy, but it's got the sensor there, and this also drives the oil pump

 

I'll have a look then if you say they are the same.

 

the oil seals are the same

 

42-56-7 is the front crank seal, so 42 is the one you want.
Do NOT use ford ones, use VITON ones as these will not leak!!

My car had machined shaft in this place and Honda NSX seal!!!

 

A seal is a seal, just measure your crank and adjust number accordingly, ie if it has been ground down top 40 mm then get a 40-56-7, readily available at all good seal places!!
