Default ok, NOW i know why people hate paypal... the robbing cnuts!

had a transaction where a mate transfered 200quid into my paypal account. perfectly legit, he gave me 200 in paypal, i withdrew it and gave him the cash.

2 mon ths later i'm -200quid, paypal have held the transaction as possible fraud and are investigating.

so for a MONTH i cant use my paypal account

get an email thismorning saying the investigation is complete, and the funds have been transfered back to the other party!!!!!!

now obvoiusoly they CAN'T have investigated anything, as both parties know 100% the transaction was genuine.

obviously no way to complain about it either, no buttons to press, email addresses to send to, or numbers to contact. just "there you go, now fuck off"

HOW do they get away with it again?

Drainbay. you got to love it....

P.S. whatch this space, I have heard of a new auction site that will be on line very soon, that will be safe and will do away with all the scammers and unregistered blowers from Africa.

You will even be able to trade items on the site too, with goods of similar value.

And people keep banging on about " move with the times " and all that shit

we live in a world where you cant speek to anyone anymore if you have a problem ,,its all press this button , press that button , and you dont even get the option available you need

Whats wrong with the old ways

This is one reason why i dont accept paypal ,, and people have a go at me when i say i wont take it

At least with C/Cards if you need to speak to anyone you can within 30 seconds

Rant over

I've never had a problem with Paypal, but I know the ice is getting thinner under my feet and one day I will fall through. I now try to use it as little as possible and I won't accept it on any of the cars I sell, they are cash on collection only. Don't mind using it for the £20-£30quids etc.

All you hear nowadays is folk getting ripped off and 9 times out of 10 it's the BUYER that's doing the ripping off, ie saying they never received it etc.

Fukin shite

I had a problem where a few quid was removed from my bank account and put it down to paypal as these were the only people who had that account details. Spoke to their customer helpline and they looked into it there and then. Turned out to be ebay costs for a few items that were listed months before after checking my ebay account, but showed up as paypal on the bank statement.

On a side note, they took 37p costs from me for a £5 payment the other day

Give them a call mate..can't hurt and may get your money back that way and restore faith it can work.

i called the same number
twice
the first itme some american fuckwit answered and couldn't understand what i was on about
i put the phoine down and called again
this guy was irish and understood what i was trying to get sorted out
he asked for payemnt of 50p and 80p to my account, from me to see what money was going from which account to which account
and it all tallied up so i still lost my £160 odd quid but at least he tried to help

when my statement came through it said i had paid themoney nto my acocunt
