Default Bolting on arches from the outside?

Is this the new thing on the scene?

Do you like it, and where does it originate from?

on mine (above) it was done for both looks and the fact that the arches have been trimmed right back to allow for clearance

so nothing there underneath to bolt it to original mounts

I think it looks cheap and tacky. But if it's there for a good reason then it's all good.

Had a look through your album, sorry. Some cracking shots tho. Is this your B plate now re-painted in this colour? It's grey, yes? Difficult to tell in the pics.

It looks grey-ish in the photos but prob the camera and the light.
Will keep the white photo on the database as well but add this into the non-white section. Is that ok ??
You making this solely a track car now or bit of raod and track?

Looks good mate. Keep the work up

its being built for the track but im gonna stick a mot on it, god knows why it will be horrible on the road

boXXer

no reccess, just use ally rivets so that it wont pull in too much, also you need to watch how much of the arch you cut away

too much and it takes all the strength out of the arch, i did get a couple of patten wings to test on first, see where the limit was

Looks great in moonstone

Ive done the same thing with my track project arches underneath (Cut right back) but im just gonna stick the tops of the arches on. There will still be rivets in the proper places so far up the sides of the arches

i think maybe do what brom said? Drill a hole, bolt through with some black pan head bolts and nyloc nuts would do the job.

Now on a mission to find some black ally rivets
