Gearknob/gearstick rattle

Any ideas what this could be? thought it was the old gearknob so brought a brand new genuine cosworth one but is still doing it. Really annoying to,altho it stops when you put pressure on the gearknob

is it a 2 wd ?
has the sitck been cut down? if so then the rubber bush may of been removed that would cause it to rattle

If it is 2wd, gear knob rattle is often from turbo damper trouble.
Check it, and renew.

Are you sure its not just the insert ratttling? I've had this before. Try just touching the insert and see if it stops. Odds on it does. If so glue the bleeder in as they work loose.
