Default Media PLayer 11.....FLV files???

Ive just had to reinstall my OS from scratch, and have made my way back upto WMP11, only to find that it wont play Flv files anymore.......

It always did as most of the video's I have are Flv format (100's) and I have been unable to find out why it wont work...........

Anybody got any idea's???

Thanks I figured that, but have been unable to find one......

I seem to remember that last time when I installed it, it said I needed some codecs and went and downloaded them for me, but this time it hasn't done the same thing.

do you know where I might find the Flv codec?

download ffdshow (not the beta version)
and mark inside the encoders list the flv
and then you can watch flv files on media player

Thanks

However I tried that and it wont run it as its a 32bit application.

I run X64 so I guess there must be a 64 bit version of FFdshow is there???

Ive sorted it

Whilst it doesn't play in Media player still, the K lite codec pack works a treat.

Thanks as it was the search for ffdshow that showed up K lite.
