Get into it in what way?

You want to compete in a one makee championship which is where a lot of people start, then you can budget 15k+ for the season easily!

It's all about the money if you want to "get into it", and depends on budget, and the level you want to compete at.

If you've never done anything like it before, then any of the basic days will be fun. There's one at Prestwold Hall (Loghtborough I think) - Everyman place. They do some rallying stuff, but more an experience thing, than proper tuition.

Have a poke around here for info

Your best way into the sport is as you say by joining a club and getting involved, then helping out with another team, then starting off on your own. If your after anything more specific just ask

Join a motorsport club local to you. You can get involved in helping out in all sorts of ways from organising, marshaling, helping other team / club members etc then the natural progression is to build up your own team and get out there competing.

Trackdays are a good safe way of learning some of the skills required, so if you have a road car then get it booked on to Donington and go and have a play. If you need help finding a local club near to you just post up for more help
