Old old olllllld mate, don't buy that!

At the very least get an NVidia 7600GT or something similar. You want to be spending 60ish quid really.

Also, is your mainboard AGP or PCI-E for the graphics?

Nvidia is the right company to choose but as said the FX series are old now and arent really up to much.

7600GT or if you can find one cheap enough a 7900GT(very good cards indeed, will play most new games on high settings)

Vista's been alright altho it is a transformation vista pack! still does everything tho & still seems as slow as it is on a proper vista op, mines on xp & the whole op sounds aint loud too maybe just the trans pack..

been thinking & very tempting about more ram i got 2 slots with 256mb in but duno how to go about it tho, 2 512mb's? or 1gb with 256mb/512mb? i know all about the speeds & have to be the same spec to work with eachother

Exactly as i said, add another gig, if you only have 2 slots and there used then just take out one 256mb stick and replace with the 1gig stick, then you will have 1256MB's of ram should make a fair bit of difference

And yeah as long as its the same speed/type of ram it will work fine.

Go onto crucial.com and they have a system scanner, it will not only tell you what ram you have but it will also advise on whats best

Dual setup doesn't work very well for games However if you are multi tasking it is very handy. I used to have Outlook on the left monitor, and the net on the right monitor

You'll need an AGP graphics card, with either dual vga outports, or a dvi and vga out put, then get a dvi-vga convertor.

I maintain not to buy pc componants off ebay, but if you must, then try and source a 7600gt or other mentioned card.

www.ebuyer.com if you're gonna do it right tho imo.

good link!

Says i can put in 2gb says.. Each memory slot can hold DDR PC2700,DDR PC3200,DDR PC4000 with a maximum of 1GB per slot.*

Is that only for my motherboard? if so i might do some window shopping

Atm i think mine are DDR PC2000's, also what would the top advantages be?

A few extra frames per second in games, thats about it.

If you have £80 quid to spend on a new graphics card then the GT version is a great buy
