Default XR2 Turbo Project help needed pleaseee

Ive just bought my mates Series 2 RS Turbo, and ive literally got access to everything, Im buying it because its got a fantastic CVH power engineering engine, CTS STage 2 box with Quaiffe Torque biasing Diff, Organic clutch, and some fantastic brakes and obviously the whole loom, ecu etc. and every ancillirie

Im about to go on a hunt for the tidest mk2 xr2 i can lay my hands on, but i was just wondernig weather the good folks of passion ford would be able to give a bit of advise and anser a few queeries.

Firstly, what drive shafts to use? will escort ones fit? are the xr2 ones good enough?

Secondly, what fuel tank to use? how many extra fuel lines have to be run? and what sort of fuel pump is best to use?

Whats the best radiator to use? will a FRST one fit quite easily?

There my main worries really, oh and between the rad and the engine is there enough room for the t3 manifold? or wud it be best to swope to a fessy one?

Id be really greatful of any help with this cheers

Escort ones don't fit. Use the XR2 ones.

I use the MK2 1.4i injection tank. You can get it new from supplieres. It's got a reservoir inside so you don't have to weld the fuel tank. Depending on the engine the metal fuel lines work fine, you'll need at least 8 mm outside diameter for tank -> engine. And change all rubber hoses. XR2 ones can't cope with the pressure of the RST fuel pump. You need the ERST fuel pump, a XR3i one or one off an Audi or VW. Just be sure it's a K-Jetronic one.

Some say XR2 is fair enough, but the S2 RST fits fine:

When using the T3 you would have to cut the front panel. Not a good idea for the stiffness of the car. I'd always prefer a fast spinning T2 and a 1.6 engine. 160 - 200 hp is more than enough in a MK2 and hard enough to handle. A turbo with a smaller turbo hole and a faster responding engine might be more fun than a top-speed monster...
