I'm 21, 22 in a couple of months and I'm after a 4wd saph cossie.

does anybody out there know of anyone my age thats managed to get insurance on one of these or am I just dreaming. I have my first baby due in a month and could do with a 4door and decent sized boot.

any help with this is greatly appreciated

Nah mate i had my 2wd saff when i was 19! so can afford it!

Though be careful trying to run a cossie with a newly born baby both those things aint cheap

 

yep i was 22 when i bought my 2wd and they aint cheap to run neither are kids good look with your decision

 

I looked into it once, at 21, it would have been 900 fully comp.

 

If you can afford it then go for it m8

 

a 2wd can go on a classic policy though

 

Got me 3dr at 20 was £1800 on insurance
When i was 21 it went down to £981

 

which insurance company did you all go with

 

Adrian Flux, Greenlight, HIC, Directline, Norwich Union are all worth a try, Greenlight give a PassionFord discount and cover mods and track days and stuff (as do some others so make sure you ask)

I got my first cos when i was 19. 24 now and the insurance has gone up

 

got my cos when i was 23. tescos are always the best for me. got full no claims and paying 700 quid.

im 21 and my shaff costs £1400

 

paid 2300 for mine when i was 22! but then i had 18 points! went down to 1600 year after,then i broke it!

 

see, i am 23 now, Soo wish id bit the bullet and got a cossie
at the time(when i was 21) i bought the car i got now...

Get one mate, and endure the insurance,
cos you Just KNOW that whatever you get IF IT AINT a cossie,
(like me) you'll be saying,, fook sake, i Should of bought a cossie
instead of this more sensible (read Slow) thing i got.

 

Had my 3dr cossie at 20, was 1500quid then. 21 was 1100 i think. Was 900 at 23.

 

i'm 24 with 6 points and i pay 1500 thats with no no claims but then again as said above cossies are not cheap to run at all and with a new born i know it would make me think twice !! but if you have the cash chap then do it you will love it

 

what about insurance on a ERST? just wondering as i would'nt mind one but thinking of getting one when i turn 19 at the end of the year,could they go on a classic policy as it would'nt be used that much,cheers

 

i paid 1596 for a erst at 19 with no no claims but then again no pointe either seems my insurance will always be around 1500
