Had it up for sale for a couple of weeks now and havent had as much interest in it as i thought it would, i was wondering wether to take the stripes off it as they are not to everyones taste back to a sort of blank canvas, and does anyone know the best way to do it

Yeah, keeping them on will only reduce the amount of people who might want it. Id have had it off you straight away had i not bought the one below 3 weeks before!

is it best to use a hair dryer to soften them up first? i suppose cfoster will know this

yup, use a hairdryer, NOT a hot airgun!!! Youll melt the paint!!

Do it slowly watching where you are pulling ALL the time.

I think you may have a better ordiance without them to be honest, even though i think they look the nuts!!!!!

i took mine off and t cutted where they were then polished. Mine were only small stuff but i done biguns b4 so youll be ok.

OI FOSTER...wheres my plates? Cheque will be with you in morn unless it bounces out of Pats bag

cheers chris, nice to hear most people say it might have more of achance selling,should have done it 2 weeks ago before spending Ł60 on autotrader

I think the stripes are cool, and do definately go well with the wheels. They are not to impossing eithor mate! Really tidy car like that!

ive taken them off now,and a lot of people havent even noticed it so it still means the car still looks good,im poloishing it properly tomorrow,its looking nice and shiny already without the stripes breaking the body up.still turns the old heads when im on the road

Have you been on general discussion, a lad on there is after a S2 and yours could be just the job.

Looked awseome with the stripes but a limits the market abit.

yes mate i have seen that, hes got wait for compo to come through though, ive already had someone round who said theyve got to sell their own car first
