The standard map sensor is rated at 2 bar, 1 bar atmospheric pressure and up to 1 bar boost pressure (15psi)
If you want to run more than 15psi you'll need a 3 bar map sensor, but it needs to combined with a chip that is programmed to understand the different signal from the new sensor and you'll also need larger injectors as well.

They read up to 1 bar negative(vacuum) and up to 2 bar positive where as the std one just does 1 bar positive, 1 bar negative.
This bit about 1 bar atmospheric is wrong, atmos is atmos but it is reading DEPRESSION(NOT ATMOSPHERIC) VACUUM, or negative pressure, when NOT on BOOST, ie VACUUM, it changes to POSITIVE READING WHEN ON BOOST.

I do one finger typing, as my brain is not taxed then!!
It is amazing that a lot of people belive that it goes from atmo to positive, and don't even think about negative though!!
We got there between us anyway, just had some TAYTO CRISPS from IRELAND, yummy, got a box lasted 1 week.
