Change oil pump with engine still in car?

Default Change oil pump with engine still in car?
Hi, Does anybody know if it is possible to change the oil pump in my 3Dr with the engine still in the car and also are the oil pumps all the same ?

think youd have to drop the cross member etc and remove the sump

As long as you have an engine support,drop x member and sump and change oil pump,but what is the reason for just wanting to change pump

I'm Changing a leaking sump gasket, so was thinking of replacing the pump anyway while the sump is off, possibly for a High Pressure one. Any advice for priming the new pump when fitting?

I always just fill with a thick oil like 20/50, never had a problem, just spin on starter with plugs out primes within seconds.

hi paul dont change that pump it is a hi pressure pump that i had put on it and had only done probs 800 miles when i had it
