U can use a 4x4 one but u have to use a diferent pipe to the turbo i think Paul at North Yorkshire RS Spares will know what bits you need and be able to sort you out.Can get 4x4 header from ford still for about £30ish.

If your on about the Stainless Steel header then i have a 4x4 on my 2wd As for the extra outlet i have used that for my swirl pot But you can just blank it off like you would for a Dump Valve

As for the Above about the turbo water pipe dont worry about that as your hose will fit in the normal place the 4x4 turbo has the hose going around the front of the car and to the turbo on the right hand side Your 2wd comes out over the top of the engine

Heres a pic of my header tank

If you're talking about the standard plastic ones then dakar is basically right. The 2wd has a small diameter inlet above the 'max' line for the turbo return pipe - about 8mm I.D., whereas the 4wd has a 16mm I.D. inlet below the 'min' mark.

Changing from one to another would need a step up or down in pipe diameter. Not sure what the significance of the different inlet heights is though - anyone else know?

The 4x4 doesn't have the position for the water level sensor... but its blanked off on the saphs anyway. Ford still do the hose and can supply a new tank. They will supply the replacement pipe as it is an official mod on the microfische mate.... or web page these days (showing my age there).
