Default Aussie 3 door....

Ok... I said to myself I would'nt post pics of my 3 dr when I first started posting here at PF......

But it is amazing what a new set of Comps, AVO's, new Sparco goodies inside, new ProAlloy cooler and radiator and a 20 minute hose down will make you do!!
Oh yer... and its a good excuse to ask some fellow aussies to get some pics up too!!

Cheers,
Gav

Cheers Macker. A 3dr with MO's must be fairly common in the UK, but down here they are rarer than rocking horse shite! There is only about 4 or 5 here in Western Australia.

Cheers guys. Plates are pretty cool here. Big choice of colours and sizes and anything up to 7 characters on a metal plate and 9 on a polycarbonate plate.
Im trying to sell these ones actually. Reckon they will look better on a hot rod or muscle car. Thinkin of getting FMC RS

Nice cars! I always wondered how popular cossies were considering all the racing that used to go on. I've seen 2 years worth of Tooies 500 is it? Great racing!

Good on ya GAV, nice to see the 3dr up on PF. and pics of aarons saph and 500. Here are a couple of pics of mine, we will have to catch up soon. Mine is off the road for a bit i am fitting an RS500 intercooler to it at the moment. This one.

this is my plate. i have got smaller motorbike sized ones for her. THEY ARE 180MM X 100MM in plain white with black letters, my show plates. also in the 4th pic i have had the cross 5 wheels photoshoped on to a side pic in 19 inch (not my car) oh and it has been lowered a tad. what do you think?

give me a call mate and we will catch up i am not back till 31st jan though.

sorry mate i am in work on the 10th march rite in the middle of my swing will have to miss out on that one. I got the cooler of a freind of mine here in perth he got it for his sapphire cossie but it would not fit so i had it off him. It is an XS Power one but i am having a couple of dramas with it. Nothing that can,t be fixed up. the wheels will have to wait a while my missis said no BLING till the new house is built So i can only do jobs that keep it running and dont cost the earth. what is ACE Ford club? what cooler you got on yours it looks like an RS500 type?

D'Oh. ACE Ford club have alsorts of Fords in there. Im not in the club but once a year they run this HUGE cruise and everyone is welcome.
I ended up getting a ProAlloy 65mm 500 style and their 50mm radiator. Everything fell straight into place and it fitted real nice like.
Ive had a bit of a stint off the road too... I drove it for the first time in a few months yesterday. Bit naughty... no airfilter but I just had to go! So off I go new blow off valve, no airfilter and 1.5 bar o' boost.... When I change gear it sounds like the world is going to END!!! haha. Nice mixture of bov and wastegate chatter!!

yes i know what you mean i take the cover off my air filter sometimes (to clean it ) and the BOV makes the whoooosh sound it sounds awesome. I did it one time and didnt tell the wife she thought it was great, all the young lads at the traffic lights looking at the hyundai type car with the shiela driving and the BOV , left them standing with mouths wide open. doof doof doof. but after a while i put it back on and go into stealth mode, i think that is better, they cant see you coming. It attracts to much attention from the rozzers, and the like. what style of side repeaters have you got on the wings? they look good, did they fit straight on? i am in work now just about to knock off will talk again soon. catch up next R+R.

The owners of this type of car here in OZ are usually x pats from the UK who know all about them, or son,s or daughters of x pats. your normal ozzie bloke is not interested in them all they want is a big V8, so the people who have these car very rairly ever sell them, the only reason i got mine was that the previous owner had died and it was part of the estate, he got it new in 1993. I can see me keeping it till i either die or have my drivers licence taken off me on medical grounds. the other kind of cossie owner is the migrant that brings it over as apersonal import when they emigrate over here, a freind of mine brought his focus RS over with him when he emigrated here and as far as i know it is the only one in OZ. now that is RARE. what i see most on the road here is scoobies, nissan skylines and V8 fords and V8 holdens.all good cars but because i am an x pat they dont inerest me, i was brought up on cossies so that is why i have one.
