Default 2. Fuel line OR bigger fuel pump ?

...as above...I am trying to get the max out of a T35.63 and later move on to a T4 (or GT..).
The current setup includes WRC head gasket, Stage 3 head and ARP studs, so it could handle 30 psi...

The question is: bosch 044 pump or 2. fuel line ????

Any advice, suggestions ?

Thx !

Whats an extra fuel line going to do if the pumps now tired and worn ?

You will just have weak pressure in both lines

Maybe I'm not clear enough, sorry...

The setup will consist of:

- 1 "044" pump with 1 fuel line (bigger fuel line)

OR

- 2 "041" pumps (standart pump) with 2 fuel lines (original fuel line)

Pressure in both lines should be ok, right ?

one 044 pump can supply enough fuel for any T34 by miles, even on standard fuel lines

IF they are tired and worn it would be good practice to change them for new ones, but not to gain anything other than a smoother flow.

using 2 pumps at that power level would create more hassle than it's worth to be honest.

I run one 044 pump, with new aeroquipped lines at around 420bhp,and they will be fine for at least another 100bhp as they are (pump and lines)

There will be no gains in option 2

Why bother making up a special mount for the pump and sorting the 2x inlets and 2x outlets? What happens if you get the T4 fitted and eventually find that you're running over 400 brake and one pump fails?

Save yourself hassle. Fit a 044 pump (and change the fuel filter whilst you're at it).

Sometihing else worth considering is replacing or up grading the power supply to the pump as well. Found it an advantage when I went for a power upgrade on my saph.

Still haven't decided what to do....I think I will go for a extra fuel line with an extra fuel pump...

And raise the boost about 5 psi...

why complicate things?

A 044 pump is easy capable of supplying the fuel you need.

The 044 pump also requires a bigger fuel line, right ?
With an extra standart fuel pump, I would only need another standart fuel line...

No - standard fuel line is a direct fit to the 044

It's a direct fit...but will a standart fuel line also maximise the output of the 044 ?...or do I need a bigger fuel line ?

on standard lines you will be fine at 450bhp providing they are in good nick, some people run way in excess of this actually so i don't think that is a worry at all.

you DO need a fitting kit for the 044 pump,it's just a screw in adapter to make the one end suitable for connection to the standard setup (costs about £10)
