on mine and all the pictures of others ive looked at they are different to this,i seen posted on another forum that this is the correct way
You hope so being a Ford manual
If you've got any doubt mate get the first cylinder to TDC and then take the cap off and the rotor arm should be near on pointing at number 1 on the dizzy cap, and then you can easily work out the other 3

should 1 not be top right on the dizzy like(starting at top left going clockwise) 3 1 2 4,on that diagram its got the 2 at top right, would this not effect the firing order in anyway,i know its the same firing order 3142 but just any rst's ive seen its always 1 top right

Whats that firing order for

right look at this pic, should the full lot not be turned clockwise 90 degrees so that 1 is top right and not 2,would this affect the way the car runs as basically the leads arent in the right place even though the firing order is correct
Thats just confusing
The fool proof way to do it is as i said above, get the timing marks lined up so number 1 is TDC, pop the dizzy cap off and the rotor arm points to number 1.
Then you go anti clockwise on the cap, 3, then 4, then 2
