here is my s2 currentley looking pretty sorry for it self



got a bit of tin worm in the rear arches...

i then got to work and proceded to get rid of shit metal

but only to go and cut the wires behind the rear arches but i managed to solder it together and they're working ok(the lights)

i then proceded to weld in the replacement arches...


so that's it for now..my plans for it is to put s1 arches/skirts on to it and get it totally resprayed....watch this space

comin on slowly mate will be worth it in the end trust me

 

rigwrecker i'm from buckie ,as for the car it's q plate that came from york but the spec of the car was awsome for the money i t at the time the guy who built it spared no exspense on it well lane turbo did all the maintence on it it would've a very good spec when he done it piper 285 cam ,rebuilt bottom end,5th inj.hybrid turbo,185 chip..etc,but it's now a 1.8 zvh..it went really well until i took it of the road!!

yeah i know,but it's bloody frustrating as well!!! but i have been busy buying odds and sods whilst it has been of the road one of my biggest purchases was this 160 ltr compressor

also bought the old wheels of lewis's old s2

this will give you a rough idea what they'll look like against the red paint

also got some morettes and a act gauge and bonnetr raisers!!

also got a set of red samco boost(they're on the car)and water hoses and a swirl pot

also got a half show cage bought this of off ianrst picked it up on my way home from a recent trip to france

while that s2 is off the road i recentley purchased another one to run about in it is pretty standard barring a exhaust,k/n filter,samco boost hoses,and a 3 spoke rs wheel

i really like it as well i've just recently bought a 2nd hand chip for it i'm going to take it up to a local guy here to set up once the ecu is installed!

well haven't posted anything in here for a while...the car went off to the painters this week where it will be for a while,decide to replace the front panel and put on 2 x new front wings as well,i'll get sum photos posted once i get me finger pulled out...on the other hand me other rs is up for it's mot and will be going up for sale to free more funds for the one that is being restored at the moment

 

well i haven't updated on here for ages everything kinda came to a standstill but have got some new oics to post up..

here's where i've repaired the sun roof ..typical mk4
here is another with the alloys i will be putting on the car once it is all done
with the s1 body kit etc.(they're on my other s2 just to give you a idea!!)

i decided to then put the car over to a local painter to finnish the rest of the car off...

this was the car when i dropped it off i put on the new bonnet that i picked up for Ł40..then i decided i would be as well putting on the new front panel
i had lying in the garage so i also ordered up to new front wing while i was at it,so the body shop dude hacked off the old wings...



the car sat like this for a couple of weeks ,today the guy has got the front pannel off

so that 's the stage i'm at just now...
forgot to mention i've also picked up a mint drivers door wich will also be going on to the car... i've just recently sold my run around rs a bought my self a.....

i'm well impressed with the brake set up on it..

spec is stage 1 norris design engine roller bearing turbo=310bhp+298 ftibs torque

 

coming allong now tho eh

aye theres a big shopping list for this weekend (payday)

pistons,rods,tubular manifold, exhaust etc coming

 

aye but she'll be a show stopper once it's done,si's car is summit else eh..i heard that gary hutch has just sold his 2ltr 16v corsa..going after a scooby/evo next i belive..

 

was over to the body shop today and the guy has actually got some work done heres some pics any way...the car was parked in the corner of his 'workshop' so hence why i can't get any pics from distance...

no ive been sitting at home for the past 2 months cos theres no work there sayin, still get off shore bonus tho but im turning into an alky

thanks toni...was beging to think no fooker was looking at this !!! lucky you smit's we were hoping for a bit o standby as well but the hole we're drilling just noo is giving us major problems basically we're back to where we started..och well not caring as long as we still get our 6 weeks off over xmas and new year!!..any way was over to the body shop yesterday and to my surprise the car has been painted,the bonnet and s1 arches etc have still to be painted but i've got to say that the car has got a lovely shine about it obivously there is still a bit of rubbing to do yet but here is a couple of pic's to give you a idea!!




i can't wait until i get it back to my garage to start putting it all back together!!
